In her shoes...

Another addition to our experiment. This time it is Television shows. Now, I know we both share a love for Gossip girl (if not in the "omg, this programme is insanely gay" kind of way) but I really have no idea what other shows she enjoys watching... Therefore this experiment is a little more blind sighted than the last one.

I'll lay a little bit of a description of the shows before I began as well, so its not completly out of the blue.

Supernatural: Essentially two brothers- Dean (the short haired one) and Sam (the other broody one) who are on a continuous roadtrip around America in search of their father who is on a "Hunting" trip. Hunting to them is tracking and killing supernatural beings (as the name would suggest.)

Episode= Season 2, Ep 5: Simon Said

Criminal Minds: Doesn't need much description- there a unit of the FBI who deal with seriel killers by creating "profiles" of the "unsubs" attempting to catch them. Watch out for Reid <3

Episode= Season 4, Ep 15: Zoe's Reprise

Greys Anatomy: I don't know how well I can describe this to be honest. Its a drama that follows the lives of like a million people at Seattle Grace. Its kind of quirky and funny and the men are good looking...
Backstory= Meredith & Derick are together, Chinese girl & Black man together and Izzie & Alex together

Episode= Season 2, Episode 16 & 17

Bones: The reason I love this programme so much is the chemistry between Temperance Brennan (the women- shes an antropologist) and Booth (Angel!!) which can often be very funny. Also, Stephen Fry is in this one :)

Episode= Season 2, Episode 17: The Priest in the Churchyard

The West Wing: So. Its like the offices of the president, a little place called the white house. It has sexy Rob Lowe in it :) But this episode is Josh Lynman (my favourate!) is giving a talk to university students.

Episode= Season 1, episode 15- celetrial navigation

Enjoy Tasha! I hope this is not too painful for you... x

Tasha's playlist

So when I found it difficult to find a few of these songs, I was skepticle about what I think about them. But, lo and behold, I did enjoy a few of them! there is hope for us yet!!

1. Final Fantasy- Adventure= Appreciated the violin use- somewhat of an underated instrument, but I couldnt take the song seriously...

2. Arcade Fire- Antichrist Television blues= I kinda liked this one- had a funky beat but was a bit repetitive but I could see how it can be liked!

3. Patrick Wolf- Tristan= Tash loves this man, so I was a little bit anxious about what I would think about him. But he's quite good. Nice lyrics & catchy.

4. Mystery Jets- Two Doors down= Loved this one! I dont normally like all britishey accent bands (i.e the kooks) but this was a cute song!

5. Robots in Disguise- Arguments= The introduction to this song literally hurt my ears. I didnt appreciate people yelling out of my computer. However, I did enjoy the strange little beat it had going.

6. Beirut- Elephant gun= I like guitars, so I had high hopes when I heard the introduction of this song. The video was also very... erm interesting? But I didn't see many memorable qualities about this song to be honest.

7. Maccabees- Toothpaste Kisses= This song is very much similar to the stuff that was happening two summers ago, such as the Arctic Monkeys so it was pleasant to listen to and was kinda cheery- I especially enjoyed the whistling!!

8. Larrikin Love- Edwould= I loved this one, I think it was my favourate of the lot. I couldn't get the thoughts of Jonney depp out of my head though...very catchy!!

9. Placebo- This Picture= I liked Placebo before so this was nothing new. I do, however, find that sometimes there songs sound the same... but this one was good!

10. Lamx- Spit it out= They could possibly be German, I thought this was maybe a racial attack by Tasha. The lead singer is creepy but the song was pretty good. I'd like to hear it remixed though I think.

11. Rufus Wainwright-California= I already had this song on my computer, so I do already like it. Hurrah we have one similar song at least!!

There we have it- coming up- Television Shows!! x

Living my life

So. Me and Tash had this idea to see what it would like to be in each others shoes. Well, not literally, as I dont see it being very productive her going to my lectures or anything...

You see, we have this Orange Wednesday tradition and practically everytime, on both the walk there, the traditional WHSMITH stop off for sweets, the escalator ride to the stupid floor and the walk home, we constantly butt heads about whar tastes we have. From boy taste (as in I like Daniel Craig and she calls him "melty-face") to music and films (He's just not that into you didn't go down too well....)

So, to begin this little experiment of ours, we are trading a playlist of 10 of our favourate songs for each of us to listen to and then blog about. It will give us a chance to take in a music taste were probably unfamiliar about, and will kind of give us an insight into our own tastes.

So here is my playlist for Tash;

1. Jennifer Love Hewit- Barenaked
2. Lucie Silvas- What your made of
3. Tyler Hilton/ Bethany- When the Stars go blue
4. Boys like Girls- Thunder
5. James Morrison- This Boy
6. Jennifer Lopez- Lets get loud
7. Jon Mclaughlin- Beautiful Disaster
8. Matchbox 20- How far we've come
9. Missy Higgins- Scar
10. Taking Back Sunday- Cute without the e
11. The Wreckers- The Good Kind

Okay, I am aware that there are 11 songs but these are pretty much the soundtrack of my life so how could I possibly delete one?!

Good luck Tasha and enjoy :) x

Word: Holidays

"Two posts in one day!" I hear you cry! Yes but do not get used to it!! I have decided I shall write blogs on occasion with a random word that someone gives me. Today my word is "Holidays"

I guess there are two types of holidays; the ones where you go away to somewhere or holidays from work or University. I have to say, I was a spoilt child when it came to holidays. Every year we would all go away for 2 weeks to places like Italy, America and Crete and because I was so used to it, I assumed this is what everyone did! Family holidays are always the same though- somehow I don't enjoy them. Could be because my stepdad thinks that everyone from another country is a retard so would both shout and speak really slowly to them. Or just them getting drunk generally.

Friend Holidays, however, are AMAZING! I went on two last year, the first to Tenerife and one to Zante. Tenerife made a friendship end and Zante made my friendships stronger. It's strange that.

We are going on (what will most probably be) our last family holiday in July and I don't know how to feel about it. My brothers and stepsister all have boyfriends/girlfriends and I am the only one going solo. Normally I wouldnt mind except that my mother seems to think it means im an absolute social reatard. I dont mind, I will catch up on reading. and getting burned.

xoxo

Welcome!

So, here is my new blog. As you can see, it is going to immensly exciting. I was told on Twitter that I should have a blog as "All good journalists should have one." And I want to be a good journalists, thus I made a blog.

Where to start as kind of an introduction? I enjoy long walks on the beach and...
NOPE not me. I don't really like the beach. I mean, I do if I'm just walking on it but not so much in the summer because then you go into the sea and (because I'm so stupidly pale) you need to apply sunscrean straight away otherwise you get burned but it's difficult because you are covered in sand...

... Enough ranting! What I do enjoy are long train journey's. You can sit with your headphones in and look out the window and see some countryside that you can't see from the roads. It's nice. Also, I love when your favourate song comes on and it makes you smile. Mine is "Best of you" by Foo Fighters. Yummmm

I'm a film addict, it has to be mentioned. I have a strange ability to remember every film I've seen an actor in and it makes me think It's what I should be doing with my life. I also have strange taste in films. I love when a film is a little bit cleverer than the norm but than I hate when they try to be all different (*cough DONNIE DARKO cough*) and feel-good films are always welcome with me.

I love colours!! My wardrobe is like a rainbow. I think it's nice to have brighness. I have a £5 phone because Ive lost so many before and I still dream about my blackberry :(

That is about all of the random information I can think of at the moment.

Enjoy xoxo (Gossip girl ;P haha)
