New House

That's right- I have a new house!! It's been a big year for moving. Parents have moved to Scotland and I have moved to my 2nd Cardiff residence. Also, the house in Bracknell has changed alot with three boys living in it. It might as well be a university house!!

Heres my new room- my "playroom"



I am very excited for this university year though. Theres none of the weird, nervous first couple of weeks where your worried that your not going to make any friends. Instead, I've already planned to do amazing things with last years friends (See last blog.)

Also, I have a job this year!! So there is some money going in as well as out. I'm working at John Lewis and I had my first training day today. It was quite fun. I got to meet most of the people I'll be working with and generally they are all very nice. I did discover that I get on better with boys though. I didn't spend ages choosing clothes so I spent alot of time waiting for the other girls and talking to the boys.

I set up the internet all by myself as well today :) It took 3 hours but I eventually got it working, thus this blog entry.

I feel it's bed time soon. Internet set up sure does take it out of you

The S&I To-do List :D

Let me explain, for all of you not in the know, what S&I stands for. It stands for "Sexy and Informative" a sentence used to describe the legend that is Peter Berlin, a German gay sex symbol. Okay, I know what you might be thinking, but it's not as weird as it sounds. We don't pray to him or anything (Not that I'm 100% sure of what Rob or Tasha do in their bedrooms...) but it's a personal joke. You know, the annoying kind that is hilarious when your in on it and downright annoying to anybody else? Yup, that's us. Fantastically irritating.

If you hadn't already guessed the members of S&I are Rob, Tasha and myself. We found Peter Berlins DVD while on a inpromptu revision dodging Blockbuster scavange. We didn't rent it (mainly because we didn't want to staff to think we were strange) but we did proceed to use the term "sexy and informative" all over the place, trying to think of celebrities who could be described as such (I believe we settled on Dermot O'leary and Jon Snow?) and now we are team sexy and informative.

So here is my proposed To-do list- some ideas having come from discussions and some I feel we SHOULD do. enjoy

1. Find Gok Wan
2. Lick Simon Cowells Face
3. Visit Tasha's homestead in Walsall.
4. Go to the Cadbury Factory
5. London trip
6. Visit Rob's homestead
7. Go see a film and be the ONLY people in the whole cinema
8. Go to Barry Island
9. Laugh at Birmingham accents
10. Pretend to be tourists in Cardiff and see all the sights your SUPPOSED to see
(go on the open top red double decker GAYBUS)
11. Visit my homestead
12. Have another DVD/no sleep night
13. Rent every Baconator film blockbuster has
14. Buy more magical orbs
15. Find a lifesize cut out of Gandalf/Ian McKellen (we're not fussy..)
16. Find a Bull statue in London to prove Rob right
17. Find our sitcom hang out
18. Go to a ukelalie night/club

This is what I have for now. I don't want to commit us to doing something that isn't agreed on by the others... x

Dream a little dream of me

Yes, Okay, I don't write in this often. But you've got to admit, when I do, it's awesome :P
So I thought today I'd share with you all the current thoughts I think about just when I'm trying to get to sleep. I feel these are very revealing of a person- things you think about before sleeping say alot about the kind of things you want in life. Your last thoughts before you sleep are usually your hearts desire.

I keep thinking I should do more exercise. I lie in bed and think "I'm going to go running tomorrow" or "what time does the swimming pool open?" I ask these questions and convince myself that TOMORROW I will start, and it rarely happens. This is because of my Mum at the moment which makes me especially sad.

I think about my new university house and plan how I'm going to decorate it and move things around. I plan the pictures I'm going to order to be printed and how I'm going to make my little study into a haven for me. I think about how I'm going to get food to fill the fridge and then convince myself I'm not going to buy any biscuits/sweets.

In bed, I feel lonely alot of nights, especially more recently. I feel that everyone in my life comes in a pair or has a partner and I come as a single object which is alien to alot of people. I usually hug my pillow to try and trick my brain into thinking that I'm not so lonely, if even for a second. Beacause most of the time I'm not. During the day it's fine, I'm used to depending only on myself and being independent enough to do whatever I like. But at night, when I'm under the duvet and it's all dark, I wish there was somebody there so I would't have to keep checking wardrobes for monsters.

These thoughts don't show me to be the most sane of people but to be honest, who does think about sunshine and lollipops before they sleep? x
